Featuring high levels of nickel and chromium, they are suitable for environments with extreme temperatures. The 310S grade is the low-carbon version of 310, providing more resistance to carbide precipitation when welding.
The lower carbon content in 310S reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, particularly in welded structures, providing long-lasting durability in high-temperature environments. Chromium acts as an oxide shield while nickel strengthens the austenitic structure.
